A Few Words About Me

image_1Humble Beginnings and Driven to ask, "What's possible here?"

I am an educator, business owner and entrepreneur, community advocate, volunteer, writer, parent and leader. I have over 34 years of teaching/leadership experience in the education system and have owned my own business over 27 years. In my role as CEO at Aquarian I lead an award-winning company that was built on strong entrepreneurial principles and a culture that supports growth, excellence and diversity. Involvement at the board level within CHBA ER (Canadian Home Builders Association Edmonton Region) supports leadership goals to improve quality, consistency and public awareness of professionalism within the construction/renovation industry.

I am a leader by nature and work well within and at leading a team. I bring my strength-based leadership style to all that I do and delight at helping others to achieve their full potential. I am a strong advocate for women and our power to impact the world on many levels. I am aligned with the Global Institute for Extraordinary Women and I rally around others who also have courage to lead.

I am involved in many other committees and associations including the Canadian Home Builders Association, Edmonton Region (CHBA ER), I am an executive member of Synergy Business Network, a founding member of Edmonton’s chapter of WPO (Women President’s Organization), ambassador and leader with GIFEW (Global Institute for Extraordinary Women), involved at leadership level in my community league as Past President of the Laurier Heights Building Society and involved in many other organizations, I sit on boards, and work in committees. I’ve written regular articles for Home Décor and Renovation magazine for over five years and am a patient/family advocate for CPAC (Canadian Partnership Against Cancer) & The AB Cancer Foundation.

I have one son, Levi who is studying business at the University of Alberta.
